a JOURNEYS add-on tour, you're fully engaged in the host community work project. Global Volunteers offers one- to six-week standard service program itineraries, with extended-service terms up to 24 weeks. Each week of the itinerary combines an average of 40 hours of service work with ample free time in the evening and on the weekend to enjoy the cultural, educational and natural attractions of the host community. You may add your standard JOURNEYS tour to the beginning or end of your Global Volunteers itinerary.
(Please note: Global Volunteers' service programs are fully tax-deductible for U.S. tax payers. When you add on any non-service travel, consult with your tax preparer for advice on tax-deductibility for ALL portions of the program.)
